Thank You Photos

Thank You Photos

Whenever I receive a baby gift, I take a picture of my son with the gift…either playing in the outfit or with the toy, whatever the gift happens to be, and then I use that picture to make a thank-you card. I use a digital camera and then use my computer to make the card with a card-making program or a document.

You can either make a postcard or a greeting card. I have a template set-up on my computer for this so that I can use it repeatedly, therefore I am not recreating the wheel every time. It is really quick and easy. I can drop the photo in and it makes it very personalized. Then print the photo out and send it by mail to the person who gave the gift. You could email it though and it would still be personalized. I also make a duplicate copy to put in the baby's scrapbook too so he can have it in future years.

With a digital camera it is so easy to take a snapshot and then I send photos randomly and regularly to a bunch of people and it lets everyone keep up with his growth, etc.

I have not taken one regular photo of him to send off to be developed because digital is so instantaneous and with not much effort there is really good quality. I save them to CDs to print from whenever I want to and I think digital is the way to go!
