Creating A Masterpiece At The Doctor's Office

Creating A Masterpiece At The Doctor's Office

When my kids were young (toddlers through 11 years old) I would carry some sharpened colored pencils or crayons with me when we went to the doctor's office. During the long waiting time in the examination room, we would draw pictures and color them on the white paper they pull out over the table.

We'd play "Tic-Tac-Toe" or "Connect The Dots" or any imaginative thing we could come up with the pass the time. This always seemed to please the doctor and he'd say, "Can I keep this?" and it would make my kids feel so special and also a little less tense about being at the doctors. Sometimes the doctor would even spend a few minutes drawing with them.
